The Official Newsletter of CG Pro Bikes

Hello everyone! Welcome again to our new newsletter, the Wheel Builder! Our hope here at CG Pro Bikes is to use this newsletter to keep in touch with you, let you know what’s coming up and currently going on, and to educate and inform you with tid-bits about cycling- tools, accessories, Group Rides, events, new product, and the latest news to help you and your bicycle have the best experiences possible!

A note about Group Rides: Our Group Rides haven’t started up again yet, but please plan on joining us in the Spring! We thank and congratulate everyone who rode with us last year! In the meantime, if you want a riding partner, Raymond is usually available, (I’m admittedly a fair weather rider. This is why I love my Kurt Kinetic trainer.) so just give us a call.  *Actually, since Raymond will be riding a race in Italy in April, he’s in training mode! So go ahead and challenge him. He’d love that.

The latest gear from The North Face:

It’s still cold outside, and you want to ride.

TNFLong Way Home’ Jacket:  Zip-off sleeves allow you to take temperature regulation into your own hands by converting this full-zip jacket into a vest. The updated fabric for spring 2013 increases the overall weather resistance of this soft-shell jacket while maintaining breathability during highly aerobic stages and uphill climbs. TNF™ Apex ClimateBlock is virtually waterproof and windproof to keep you dry and comfortable in sketchy conditions. Stretch ventilation panels are treated with FlashDry™ laminate for advanced moisture management.

TNF ‘No Hands’ Arm Warmers:  50D 88% recycled polyester, 12% elastane, with UPF 50.

TNF ‘LWH’ Crew Jersey:  Wicking FlashDry™ technology works with your body to improve drying time and keep you cool while pushing your limits on the trail. Body-mapped ventilation panels are placed under the arms and down the upper back to cool the areas where men sweat the most.

It’s Overhaul season again!

If you want your bike to last, take good care of it. If you are going to bench it for the season, air it up, hang it up, keep it away from moisture.

If it has been more than 3 years since your last overhaul, get one. If you’ve logged long or hard miles since your last overhaul, get one. If you’ve done things to your bike that you know you shouldn’t have ( you know who you are! ), then it’s time to treat it right.

We offer a Minor Tune Up, a Major Tune Up, and an Overhaul. In the Overhaul, the bike gets stripped to the frame, cleaned, lubed, reassembled, and tweaked, all for $250.

This would also be the perfect time for any upgrades you have been thinking about. While we have the bike apart, consider new tires, new wheels, ceramic bearings, clipless pedals, gear upgrades, or a whole new component group! Even throw on a cycle computer and finally keep track of all those miles you’ve been putting on that bike.

Your bike will ride better, shift better, stop better, and be much happier afterwards!

*And I will remind everyone that if you wait until the first nice day to bring four bikes in to us, you will be waiting behind the other families that just brought four bikes in to us! So take advantage of this crummy snow, and bring in your tune ups and upgrades and dusty overhauls now, and be ready to hit the streets as soon as the sun comes back! J

Make your appointment now for a fit session, and feel the immediate results.

Thanks for reading, and we hope to see you riding!
